I want to get an estimate of price/time - what information do you need?

 To give you an approximation of how long your tattoo will take and how much it will cost, please email us an image or idea of your desired tattoo, the size (in cm or inches), position on the body and colour.

Do tattoos Hurt?

Yep.
Depending on the area on the body and your own tolerance, your tattoo will hurt more or less. 

what aftercare do you RECOMMEND?

After leaving Armoury Tattoo we recommend leaving any covering we applied ON for 2 hours. Once this has passed you may lightly wash your skin, apply Bepanthen (or another occlusive cream) and put on a clean item of clothing. Ensure to do this with clean hands and follow the aftercare sheet provided for more instructions.

Do you take walk-ins?

Yes, we are open for walk-ins within our business hours. We may not have time to fit you in that specific day but we can always book you in for a future appointment right there and then. Please call or email in advance to check our availability.

DO I HAVE TO LEAVE A DEPOSIT?

Deposits secure your appointment and ensure both your time and our time isn't wasted.

​Deposits will be deducted from the total once finished.

are consultations free?

All consultations are free and can be booked via email/phone or in person.

What if i have to cancel/reschedule?

Please email us as soon as possible. If you wish to book again, we will try our best to reschedule you in at our earliest convenience.

who will do my tattoo?

Feel free to check out our artists individual pages if you want to request a specific artist, or we can choose the most suitable artist for you when booking you in.

can I book my tattoo before I go on holiday?

We advise you to leave at least 2 weeks between finishing a tattoo session and exposing your tattoo to sun/sea/sand. Slow healers may need more time, be sure to use sunblock.

how should I prepare for my tattoo?

Please come to your appointment clean and fresh, we advise you wear loose, removable clothing. You may shave the area first or leave that to our artist, be sure any skin conditions have cleared up, and not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol. 

What age can i get tattooed?

In Scotland, you must be 18 or over to be tattooed. You may be required to prove your age and identity with a valid photo ID ie. passport, drivers licence.

What age can i get PIERCED?

We are currently not offering piercing at Armoury Tattoo. In Scotland, you must be 16 or over to be pierced without parental consent. 
You may be required to prove your age and identity with a valid photo ID.
In some cases minors can be pierced with parental consent or full legal guardianship.

are your inks vegan?

All our tattoo inks are vegan and organic; Armoury uses Kurosumi (our black inks) and Eternal (our colour inks) which are both vegan brands.

do you accept card/cash?

We only accept cash in studio for the time being; there are many ATM's close by.
We accept deposits and advance payments in cash or via direct bank transfer.

Can I bring a friend?

​You may bring a friend for support, but it is up to the discretion of the artist/staff member whether they join you in the treatment room or remain in the waiting area. Covid rules may apply.They must be over 18 to accompany you into the treatment room.
